According to the Health & Safety Executive over 1 million employees are exposed to levels of noise that puts their hearing at risk. The Control of Noise at Work Regulations came into being on 6th April 2006. The key aim being to ensure that worker’s hearing is protected from excessive noise whilst at work.

Hearing loss caused by work activities is preventable.

High levels of background noise can be just as intrusive and are a key causation of stress in the workplace as well as a distraction. Noise can also be a safety hazard at work, interfering with communication and making warnings harder to hear.
